美国坦普尔大学(Temple University)孙玉刚教授利用智能手机摄像头开发了一种检测稀土离子浓度的低成本的耐用的方法。此方法利用介孔SiO2纳米颗粒(MSNs)表面富有大面积负电荷的特点,通过“浓度效应”实现Eu3+离子的有效静电吸附。

正是这种“浓度效应”和“天线效应”的协同作用,使得MSNs体系可在较宽的动态范围内探测稀土离子,而且即使用智能手机摄像头,其检测极限也能达到80 nM。该研究成果为探索贵重稀土资源提供了新的方法和可行性。
